1. You shall not kill any living being. 一. 不殺生
2. You shall not steal. 二. 不偷盜
3. You shall not commit adultery. 三. 不邪淫
4. You shall not gossip/lie. 四. 不妄語
5. You shall not drink wine/spirit. 五. 不飲酒
6. You shall not smoke, do drugs, chew betel nuts. 六. 不抽煙、不吸毒、不嚼檳榔
7. You shall not gamble, no opportunistic. 七. 不賭博、不投機取巧
8. You shall honor/obey your parents, reconcile with sensuous delight. 八. 孝順父母, 調和聲色
9. You shall obey traffic rules. 九. 遵守交通規則
10. You shall not participate in political activities, anti-government demonstrations. 十. 不參與政治活動、示威遊行

Party For Seniors 敬老聯歡

Chinese American Women Commerce Association (CAWCA) sponsored the 2010 Lunar New Year's Party for seniors in Flushing, New York. There were more than 300 seniors attended. Enjoyed a delicious meal and show performences. Every senior received special gifts and a good luck red envelope.

紐約華裔婦女總商會在發拉盛舉辦農曆年春節聯歡敬老餐會。計有三百多位耆老們參加同樂聯歡。飽餐一頓、抽奬、猜謎得奬外, 每位參加者得到一份精美禮物, 還有一個發財好運紅包。

February NYC Snow 二月紐約雪

New York City February Snow Scene.

Snow in Central Park, NYC had 20" accumulated since yesterday .
Where I stay had 15" in 2 days.

New York City offered job for people to help removing snow.

紐約市二月雪景。

雪從昨天下到今天(2010/02/26), 紐約市中央公園20 英寸厚, 
而我住的地方兩天積了15吋高。

學校停課。不少青少年人出來幫忙清理人行道賺零用錢。

Lucky Charm 福氣

This oriental charm 「福」means "Blessing" in English. We all long for blessings of health, longlife, peace, and wealth from God神 or some said heaven 天.

In Jeremiah 33:6, God promised: "I am going to bring it recovery and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security." Jesus said in John 10:10: "I have come in order that you might have life-life in all its fullness."

To obtain blessing of God, we will need to believe in Juses. Because Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life." (John 14:6) I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Savior. I hope you too!

人人都求「福」- 神(上天)賜發財, 健康, 長壽, 平安的福氣。

聖經耶利米33章6節: 「我(上帝) 要醫治這城的居民, 使他們復原。我要讓他們充分享受和平、安全。」約翰10章10節耶穌說: 「我來的目的是要使他們得生命, 而且是豊豊富富的生命。」

要想得到這些福氣, 信耶穌。因為耶穌說: 「我就是道路、真理、生命。(約翰14章6節)」我信耶穌是我的天主、救世主。但願您也是!

Internet Scam 網路騙術

I posted Overdue Payment as a reminder to my blog visitors that there is no free lunch, just as Lynette commented: "This is a common internet scam."

I picked up that message from my Spamblocker folder. (Is there someone desperate enough to reply to this kind of mail?) I took a picture of the contents and deleted it immediately before I posted it here on Sirtea Garden, on Digg, and on Facebook.

I received telephone calls and emails telling me to ignore the message and to delete it right away. I hope you didnot hold your breath for me. I feel your love and your concern. Thank you all for your responses to my post.

我很少開看這一類的信件。心血來潮開了它, 覺得可笑。(無聊, 真的有人會回應它嗎?!) 將它拍照留用, 也就順手刪掉了它。然後才將它登出在茶翁家園, 在掘網, 在臉書上。

Overdue Payment 虎年財運

Tiger year brings good luck! Central Bank of Nigeria wants to send me a huge amount of money as soon as I give them the following informations: my current address, bank name, bank account number, telephone, ... etc. Money due me! Do you think I should reply with the required informations? Yes? No? Why?!

虎年初五橫財來! 乃吉利亞中央銀行來信說欠我一大筆錢。要我回信告訴該行: 我的地址, 銀行帳戶號碼, 電話號碼, 等等個人機密資料。有人要給我錢, 不錯啊! 您認為我要盡快提供這些資料嗎? (要?) 還是(不要?)
