Margaret Julia “Marlo” Thomas (born November 21, 1937) is an American actress, producer, and social activist known for her starring role on the TV series That Girl (1966–1971). She also serves as National Outreach Director for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, which was founded by her father, Danny Thomas, in 1962.
Thomas married talk show host Phil Donahue in 1980.
She has been honored with four Emmy Awards, a Golden Globe Award, a Grammy Award, and the George Foster Peabody Award.

【新唐人亞太台2011年5月10日訊】六十年前，當時台灣的綠島被稱為火燒島，許多政治受難家屬，都經歷過這白色的恐怖時期，直到1990年5月5日後，綠島不再關押罪­犯，逐漸成為觀光景點。而今年也是綠島人權文化園區，邁入第10年，文建會也將特別邀請，60位政治受難者暨家屬，重返綠島人權文化園區。

大提琴家　歐陽慧儒：「一直到解嚴之後，我爸才比較敢跟我們說甚麼，那個時候大概已經是，我高中的時候。」

沉重的旋律，淡淡的哀愁，大提琴家歐陽慧儒，用琴聲來回溯到1950年，他的父母因為反對政戰制度進入校園，分別被判刑10到12年，也因此讓他感受到自由的可貴。

大提琴家　歐陽慧儒：「大家自由慣了，大家不會珍惜，實際上這是很多前輩的努力，所以其實是要不斷提醒，跟教育我們下一代，這個如果不去做，其實到最後就沒了，沒有這段歷史。」

畫家　歐陽文：「鐵砲百合，那個時候很多，現在都沒有了。」

曾經在綠島服刑十二年的畫家歐陽文，透過他的雙眼，描繪出昔日的火燒島，如今，高齡八十八歲的他，對那段日子還有哪些印象。

畫家　歐陽文：「印象很深的沒有，在那裡大部份都是差不多，在那裡給人家關的時候，心情很不好，在那裡關了十幾年，心情很不好，其他都沒有感覺了。」

報社發行人　廖天欣：「跟外國的朋友寫信，當然要寫1949年，不可能寫民國，民國外國朋友怎麼知道，這個就是我全部的罪名。」

另一位83歲的廖天欣，是第一批被冠上政治犯罪名，1963年8月，才被釋放出獄。

報社發行人　廖天欣：「我說，不是啊我們是同學而已，學校的同學，我們是同事而已，我們做生意的關係，就這樣交換名片，你就這樣逮捕我們。」

看著六十年前的照片，回憶起當時政治受難的朋友，一起經歷過這段白色恐怖時期，直到1990年5月5日後，綠島不再關押罪犯，逐漸成為觀光景點，而他們的故事，似乎也隨著­歲月，刻畫在回憶中。
