這張照片(左)是凱文卡特，贏得九四年普立茲新聞特寫攝影獎的作品。那是一個蘇丹女童，即將餓斃跪倒在地，而兀鷹正在女孩後方不遠處，虎視眈眈，等候獵食女孩的畫面。

當人們紛紛打聽小女孩的下落時，遺憾的是，卡特也不知道。因為當時他只以新聞專業者的角色，按下快門，取得畫面，然後離去, 而沒有趕走兀鷹，救走小女孩。
在他獲頒這一生最高榮譽兩個月之後，卡特自殺身亡了。
在我們周遭，正有無數這樣的圖像在形成、在發生，你我是否也僅止於按下人生鏡頭的快門，然後，漠然地擦肩而過？
