Taste Of Freedom 自由的滋味

I finished reading the Memoirs-"Taste Of Freedom" by Dr. Peng Beng-Ming recently. He described about his prosecution as a political prisoner by Taiwan Government under Chiang's leadership, and his effort for Taiwan Independence during 1970s.

最近剛讀完彭明敏的回憶錄-「自由的滋味」。書中談到與謝聰敏、魏廷朝三人發起「台灣人民自救運動宣言」被捕入獄及後來逃離台灣的經過, 台灣自救自決的先驅。

After Christ's crucifixion his followers were persecuted and the fish symbol was used as an identifying symbol that fellow Christians would recognize, but non-Christians would not. Therefore Christians could connect with each other through a secret code, such as a fish symbol, without revealing themselves to the oppressors.

Around My Neighborhood 遊蕩街鄰

I took these pictures while I made my round this morning around my New York neighborhood blocks.
今早在近鄰漫步閒蕩5條街段一圈 , 覺得還不錯, 拿出隨身的愛奉拍下數張照片, 這是我今天紐約拾穗(一)。

看到加油站今晨油價1加侖$4.05, 兒童遊玩場, 聾啞學校, 超級市場前已罕見的公共電話, 一間天主教高中, 浸信會教堂, 曼哈頓帝國大厦的高塔, 鄰居的新屋, 一棵倔強的花樹, 花花草草,...。其實這些不是今天才有的, 而是每次出門就可看到的景物, 只是今天才有心情將它拍下來而已。
