Vivien Leigh (Mary Hartley), Lady Olivier (5 November 1913 Born in Darjeeling, Bengal, India– 8 July 1967 53 years old) was an English actress. She won a Best Actress Academy Award for her portrayal of Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), a role she also played on stage in London's West End, as well as her portrayal of the southern belle Scarlett O'Hara, alongside Clark Gable, in the epic civil war drama Gone With The Wind.In 1969, a plaque to Leigh was placed in the actors' church, St Paul's, Covent Garden; and, in 1985, a portrait of her was included in a series of postage stamps, along with Alfred Hitchcock, Charles Chaplin, Peter Sellers, and David Niven to commemorate "British Film Year".
